Does anyone know of someplace in the Khobar/Dammam area where you can purchase dry ice?

I have bought it many times from Tamimi. Not cheap here but available and they deliver. Definite October holiday addition.

Just to hedge against potential language barriers, here's how you say dry ice in Arabic and Urdu:
Arabic: thalaj jaaf (as in girafe) Urdu: khushk baraf

Not at the store. Tamimi also has a catering business and can deliver almost anything you want. They also carve pumpkins and do some amazing work. There are a couple of expats running that and you just need to get their phone number. Maybe Lulu can do the same thing. I would just ask the manager at the "comiseria". Sorry but I just can't call it a commissary. Doesn't deserve that.
I believe Tamimi does all the catering on camp. I think they have an office in the Dining Hall building. If you are walking from Al Mujamma to the Dining Hall, you will notice a service entrance where their trucks deliver. If you go in that way, you should find the office pretty much as you go in the door.
