Hi all! Brand new member here. I'm a nuclear submarine officer leaving the Navy next spring and am looking for a contact within Aramco. I'll be in Houston October 15-17 and was hoping to find someone who could help me identify good roles that I might fill with Aramco in Saudi.
Is there anyone else who is ex-military or might know someone who I could reach out to?
Thank you!

I am an ex-nuke myself, so it is very possible to get in. However, I added a secondary specialty to my nuclear background after exiting the military, and that is what got me hired. I'm not certain how or what you could fit in to with solely a nuclear engineering background. If it was me, I'd check the job board for the general engineering roles that do not have a specific engineering discipline required.
As a side note, I've heard rumors from some unnamed sources that Saudi Arabia may follow the UAE's direction in building a nuclear power plant to supply a large desalination plant. But this is still in the very early stages of consideration.
Also, please note, that the hiring process at Aramco is the most lengthy and often times frustrating experience you will ever have. Even getting into the Nuke program wasn't as frustrating for me as the Aramco hiring process. So beware, it is a very long process, and if you are on a limited time frame, you may be disappointed by how slow it proceeds.

You can visit the jobs website for the U.S. by clicking the link at the bottom of the forum pages. Any job fairs that are occurring will also be listed on that website.

Thank you! I'll check on job fairs now.
With regard to the website, I made a mistake and applied for 5 jobs- probably the wrong ones in retrospect. Now the website says that I have applied for the "maximum number of jobs at this time." I can't figure out how to withdraw applications.
Thank you!

I have never heard of anyone being able to withdraw an application for a position once submitted. Time will release your abilitiy to apply again. I do not know how much time that is. Although, Aramco does look at resumes and apply them where they think they can use a person, so even if you appleied for one positon, your resume could be sent to another department. Time will tell if that happens.

So it's one more month on and I'm still locked out of applying for additional positions on the aramcojobs website.
Frustrating!
Does anyone have a connection within HR or IT that might be able to help me out? Given the "normal timeline" of the hiring process, I'd hate for this problem to linger (and cause me to miss out on positions that I'm well suited for).
Thank you!!

Have you tried to sign up for a new jobs account and start from scratch? New email, phone, address, etc.? Just a thought.
