Does anyone how I can get a police clearance certificate from Saudi police after my departure from KSA (2014)? SAGA say they can't help, U.S. Embassy in Riyadh say the same, and Saudi Us website say they don't do this

My wife needed a clearance certificate once for a visa application and we got it through the government affairs office. They helped fill out the form and also met her at the police office to aid the process. Having said that, I do remember it was a challenge to enlist thier help. The certificate took a couple of weeks or maybe slightly longer.
As I remember it, we had to get a letter from the concerned embassy explaining that the certificate was a requirement before the police would issue it.

Thanks for your interest Muskogee - however I am no longer in KSA and therein lies the problem - the Saudi embassy in the US doesn't assist, the US embassy in Riyadh doesn't help and SAGA can't assist either

At the same time I needed the Saudi police certificate, I also had to get one from Oman which was extremely difficult since I was not in Oman. On top of that, my previous Omani sponsor had changed hands. I went through the company I used to work for (which had also changed hands) and their PRO was able to get the certificate which, if you are actually in Oman, is quite easy to obtain in pretty much one day. The Saudi certificate is much more difficult even if you are in Saudi so I have not faced your particular dilemma and don't have any other suggestions.
I'm not clear on the Saudi Embassy in the US not existing. I understood they had an embassy as well as several consulates.

Unless you have a VERY GOOD FRIEND here, I'd say it would be VERY difficult to get a police clearance certificate once you've departed. It's difficult to obtain one while you're here...I suspect it's even harder to get one after you've departed unless you have someone here willing to handle the task on your behalf.
As this sounds like a personal employment matter, the Saudi Embassy/Consulates in the US will most likely not provide you support for this, unless again, you have a contact there willing to help as a personal favor. Same for US Embassy in Riyadh and ConGen Dhahran...Personal matter and they will not entertain a request for help with this matter. Unless you are an Aramco retiree (not just a former employee) you can assume Saudi Aramco Affairs (SAA) will not provide support with this either. I would be pleasantly surprised if they did. Best of luck with this...

They are very hard to get even living here. Be sure you can get a letter from the embassy/consulate stating the requirement, should you come back for a visit, like on the Aramco Reunion. Without that, the police will do nothing for you.

According to the info I was given, you cannot get a police clearance certificate after leaving the Kingdom.
For one thing, you need to go in person to a Saudi police station and they have to take your fingerprints using the old ink pad and fingerprint card method. You can't do that if you're not physically in Kingdom.
Maybe you could manage it if, as bfm mentions, you come back for a visit but otherwise, as far as I know, you have been given the correct info by the people you have already spoken to.

As listed here on the Aramco Expat Website, there is a reunion in 2016. Click on Home at the top of the forum page. Scroll down, you'll find the information.

OK so here's an update. I have got a police clearance certificate from the Saudi police without traveling there. I managed it through an attorney and it was not a cheap option. My advice to all who leave Saudi and have the slightest inkling of moving to another country would be to seek the assistance of the Aramco Government Affairs office (via Personnel) to get them to help you before you finally depart. Any questions private email me.

Definitely better safe than sorry but, in my experience, they (the US) want every single day accounted for. Unless you can pick up the certificate on your way to the airport for final departure, I'm not sure how good it is. Better to apply for the green card here before you leave. That is just shy of a two year process if done on your own. Hiring a lawyer may be faster but I'm not yet convinced. GC interviews are in Riyadh. Don't try to drive there. Embassy is on west side of city. You could drive it but you would regret it. Fly or use the train and then taxis.
