How much you currently make
Nationality
Degrees
Yrs of experience

In other words, if you're coming from XYZ country making $2,000 a month there, then your base starting salary is going to be close to that range. On the other hand, if you're making $15,000 a month somewhere else, then your base starting salary is going to be close to that range. You see the difference? There are even people coming from the same country with wide gap in salary just because one came from a small company that was paying a small company salary and another one is coming from a Fortune company paying double.
