(I'm sorry - this post may be a bit of a downer) I was skyping with a friend who has settled into life in Doha, and she mentioned that though her family has had a perfectly good will and guardianship plan drawn up in her home country, she and her husband needed to have one done locally in Arabic in case anything tic happened to either of them in Qatar. Which made me wonder - is this something that us families in KSA should also do? I'm a newcomer and this wasn't touched upon in my orientation in Houston If my husband should in be a fatal accident, will I have any issues accessing our local bank account or exiting the country with our children?

Your husband should talk to his HR representative in KSA for that information.

I feel like I'm the only one who's thought of this now!

Hi Crazycatlady, I think your post is very interesting and I am looking forward to what you find out. My husband and I are not quite at the stage of making wills, though we should bring that forward and make it a priority. I admire your forward thinking and posting here helps as a reminder to all of us who aren't there yet.

o,
We are in process of moving to KSA in next 10 days. i asked the same question to ASC in houston. They informed that the Will and next of kin would be as per the paper work we filled up with benefits during hiring process.
Thanks
