The Aramco office right before Custom was closed and I was told to get in line with everyone. Talk about in line! It was long and it probably took 10-15 minutes for one to get admitted (1st timers Foreign passport). I was standing there for 30 minutes and finally overheard someone asking for Aramco and so happily to be brought to the officer. After that all smooth. My buddy picked me up and got the temp id and took us about 45 minutes to get to Las Lunas.
Welcome basket has everything you can think of and may need. Mine unlike a couple of other posts and the coffee makers, toaster, microwave, kettle, dish wash stand etc. all with the right plug that you can direct plug in to the wall. 110V and with an adapter and an extension cord I am good to go with my US chargers.
Iron, Iron board and vacuum all provided. I will write more later. Slept 3 hours and woke up at 4am. I am at B31 and anyone already here stop by anytime to say hi.

Hi,
I have been assigned housing in Las Dunas. It will be helpful if you can share some information:
1) Is Las Dunas Villa same as Las Dunas Garden Village? I have been assigned to Las Dunas Villa. 2) I will be arriving on May 1st, 2015, is the apartment furnished? How far is the super market from the apartment 3) Is this Las Dunas gate compound? 4) My work location is in Dhahran, is there any Aramco buses for back & forth for work?
Also any additional information during custom clearance at the airport & baggage pick up will be appreciated?
At the airport arrival during custom is there separate line for Aramco employees?
thanks,

jdtd2015,Hi,
I have been assigned housing in Las Dunas. It will be helpful if you can share some information:
1) Is Las Dunas Villa same as Las Dunas Garden Village? I have been assigned to Las Dunas Villa. Yes 2) I will be arriving on May 1st, 2015, is the apartment furnished? How far is the super market from the apartment. Yes. there is a small market on camp and Pandas is 15 minutes walk away. Shopping buses several time a week to another big supermarket. 3) Is this Las Dunas gate compound? Yes. 4) My work location is in Dhahran, is there any Aramco buses for back & forth for work? Yes.
Also any additional information during custom clearance at the airport & baggage pick up will be appreciated? Wait for the Aramco personnel to take you to the front of the line. depends on the time of arrival the line can take 3-4 hours for first timers, who have separate lanes. There are no separate lanes. but if Aramco personnel is there he will be able to get you in the front.

I came as a bachelor , but I've been placed at Radium. Now I'm looking for another place. Do you know if the Dunas camp is pretty full? Thanks

I am not sure if it's full but it's definitely filling up. Aramco only has 75 units here and it's a shared compound. but as far as i know that quite some of people assigned here are waiting for family to come, which means soon there will be vacancy. go talk to housing and see if you can be placed here.
