Hi everyone,
Just joined recently, although I have been a guess for a few months already and would like to congratulate the forum moderators for such a good job, it has been pretty helpful. I believe I read some good hints on ebox preparation and what to put on them; but now I cant find it, maybe is vpainter or any other moderator can point to the topic where the info is, thanks. Also, coming from Australia, all electrical appliances are 220VAC. We most probably sell the TVs, but would like to keep the fridge, the coffee machine, the washing machine and clothes dryer. Are there 220VAC power outlets at the laundry and kitchen, and if they are are they the UK pin? What about the Wii U for the kids and we have a good dyson vacuum? Any information you can provide would be pretty helpful. Thanks again

I think that a lot of the information on "what to bring" are in a few of the threads in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section of the forum. I personally found that a lot of the suggestions were more applicable for families moving into housing in one of the camps (which wasn't our situation), but it was still a helpful read.
re: 220V appliances - it's the standard here, so you are probably safe assuming that your future kitchen and laundry room are equipped for 220V (doesn't hurt to send an email to check if you're considering an older property - I think that 110V used to be common), and the plug style is identical to the UK.
It's excellent that you have things like the Wii U and the Dyson to bring with you - all of our stuff was 110V so we are living with step-up transformers in a lot of cases!
Do you know what your shipment weight allowance is? We wouldn't have been able to bring a washer, dryer, or fridge with us. The weight allowance didn't go as far as we expected!
