All,
We have witnessed several major changes this week. The latest is a change in company transportation policy. We also know the Pension plan was reduced considerably several months ago. There is a lot of "writing on the wall" with these changes.
Anything else proposed?
Some of these changes may not apply to all payrolls but definitely are not positive for any employee.
Thoughts?

The housing policy has changed but I would like to know the net difference between the previous housing policy and the Rental Assistance option now in place.
I have no idea about the business class flights change.
As for any future changes to existing policies it's well within Aramco's prerogative to makes these changes as they see fit.

I was thinking the same thing over the weekend. I didn't know about the business class flights nor the reduction in pension allowances (which to be fair is the only reason the offer was attractive). So what next indeed?
The change in housing policy for new starters has been badly managed.Without some improvements in the offer I cant see why this new scheme would be beneficial to anyone and i'm saying that without having the added complication of having to get kids into school.
We also have genuine security concerns being forced to live off the Aramco campus, anything happens we really are all on our own out there.

Alaskacat we have not been told that the business class flights have changed. When did they make that change and did London or Houston tell you that? ( Based on your name my money is on that you are dealing with the Houston office but asking just to be sure)

London girl, As far as I know, the changes to travel policy are for company business trips, and maybe for students in boarding school. I haven't heard anything about the class of travel for new hires.
For business trips, they have not eliminated all business class travel. For lower grade levels, there is a minimum flight duration to be upgraded from economy to business class. Higher grade codes still travel business (or better for the exec level). The policy is now in-line with that of most major corporations that I am familiar with (actually, it's still more lenient than almost any US corporation).
