Wutz,
You are correct. My recruiter advised today the new policy does NOT apply to U.S. Payrole. No change if you are a US citizen working directly for Aramco.

AlaskaKat,
And for those of us unlucky enough not to have a US passport? I feel Aramco will regret this decision in the long term it will be another management blunder.

Dear all,
We too were in the same situation, we were asked to leave the USA on the first week of March and a week before leaving to KSA we were called and informed that we cannot fly to KSA, the issue was related to the professional degree that is related only to those that have the le of "engineer" in the visa. According to our relocation advisor it was not recognized by the saudi council of engineers. So we contacted the university and asked assistance from the Ex-Alumni counselor of student affairs requesting a certificate of studies completion. The certificate should be in English and Arabic explaining the school's curriculum, study plan, indicate that his career was infact a 4.5 years Bachelor's in Engineering. If they cannot issue the certificate in English and Arabic you should contact the linguistics department of your school and ask for a translation. This translation most be in the university's letterhead.
The other truth is that people are on vacation and things change because less experienced people take over and things become a living . Aramco does not do this to make your life miserable, I actually found it enriching and it showed me a side of me that I did not knew I had.
I...we know how you all feel, we were there and many times we felt like giving up but maybe the help you need Can be known if you dig more from your relocator about the issue.
We hope this helps some others with the same issue. Please be patient, if your visa expires you'll just have a new one on Aramco's expense. Don't lose your head this will also help you prepare on the amount of patience you'll need when you arrive here.
Good luck! Sanroy12

Hi, everybody!
I am new to the forum and now considering a job as expat to KSA as a recruiter found me. I am a Chinese citizen with US green card and have been working in Houston for ten years. If I get a job offer from ASC, will it be on a US payroll or not? Will the package be different from a US citizen for a similar job?
Thanks!

Dear Andyzou,
You will receive a global payroll. With recent payroll system changes, only US citizens will receive US Payroll. I suggest you join Aramco once you acquire US citizenship. With current housing/school/hospital situation, you will be much better off with US payroll.
