I obtained a lot of useful information on this board. However, I would like to get some specific information on the type (quality/age) of single housing in the main campus. I will be working in the Corporate Planning Department in a GC 15 position. My relocation advisor mentioned to me that I will be going to the main camp in Single housing.
Currently, I live in a 3000 sq ft house as a single person here in Houston. I understand that I will be moving to a 1 bedroom unit and that I will have to downsize. My questions are two-fold.
1 Has anyone seen a typical GC 15 single housing Unit in the main camp? Are they well appointed (granite counters vs Formica, etc)? By Houston standards will you consider them as avee, high end, or fair accommodation?
2 Space …..Not sure how big these units are. Can I assume about 1000 sq ft. in a typical unit? I would like to fit a cal king bed, 3 chest of drawers, night stand, TV stand and bench in the master bedroom. Is this possible from what you have seen/know? Also in the living room, will I have space for 2 sofas, chairs, coffee table, big screen TV etc? Since there is not a gae, is there an external closet/space for a bicycle?
