Hi
My family and I will be living off camp. Are we still enled to attend the medical centre and hospital inside the dharhan compound? If not, what are our other options. We are planning on having another baby in a year or so and would like to know and hear others experiences of the pre and post natal care.

If you're not living in the compound, make sure you open your medical file in Dhahran and don't transfer it out of the Aramco medical facilities. You can still go to outside hospitals for referrals, but don't transfer your file out.
I delivered 3 babies in the Aramco Dhahran hospital. Overall, good experiences. If the pregnancy is normal without complications, then you will deliver with a midwife. Unfortunately, you don't know who you will get until you're in labor and shift changes at 7 am and 7 pm, so you may get a different midwife and doctor during your labor. This is one thing I don't like...it's nice to know who will attend your birth ahead of time. Also, another negative is that the postpartum rooms are shared, but the nursing staff is good and attentive. You can PM me if you have any specific questions about labor and delivery.

Thank you for sharing your experience with John Hopkins. The system looks the same as in Netherlands. I am expecting our third child, I am still in the Netherlands. I will come out somewhere in the second trimester of the pregnancy. I am planning to have the baby in KSA. I want to have a natural birth, without an epidural. Is this possible? I delivered my two sons without epidurals or C-sections. Do you know if it is possible to contact them, even before I am in KSA? My husband is already in KSA since a few weeks. Thank you so much.
