o, I'm the father of 6 kids and will be moving to Riyadh later this summer. I'm worried about transportation options for my family of 8 + a nanny. There are very few SUVs and minivans that seat more than 8 people. I was hoping to purchase either a Toyota Hiace or a Nissan Urvan, or, if they are available, an American full-size van (Dodge, GMC, Ford, etc.). Are expats allowed to own and drive these large vans? I know KSA expats can't purchase some vehicles that are defined as commercial, but surely my large family situation would allow me to get an exemption. Anyone know anything about this subject?
