Hi all,
From reading the forum I have learnt that some candidates get to fly out together with their family and some have to fly out alone and have their family join them later. Does anyone know how that's decided, is it based on nationality, GC or anything else? I am dreading flying out alone with a 4 year old and a 2.5 year old. We are moving from the UK, global payroll and GC 14.

It is sometimes determined by the country of origin and the agreements they have with KSA. It is a government issue, not a company issue, I unofficially think.
Coming from the UK, I wouldn't think you'd have any problem coming with your family. But things do change, so I cannot tell you for sure. Your recruiter or relocation agent should be able to tell you.

Thanks vpainter for taking the time to answer. Yes you are right, it has to do with point of origin I was told yesterday at the pre orientation meeting.

Hey London Girl, I'm from London too! Seems like you're well settled now...I would imagine
I've been wondering the same and had posted a thread but appears you beat me to it two years ago or so, so I'll revive your thread.
So coming from London, were you allowed to travel with family or not? I know things have changed since a lot of these advice has been posted on the forums (180 probation period; no exchange rate protection; no business class flight (only upon termination) and others...).
I'm keen to travel with my family rather than on my own. Save

Yamaaan
things have changed a lot As stated in previous posts that it depends on Country arrangement with KSA govt. I know that if you are a UK citizen you would be coming on your own now and once you have all your documents sorted out then you can only ask you family to come.
