Hi all
first of all, i want to say thank you. i ve found this forum extremely useful and well managed
Currently i work for a big IOC and have received a good offer from saudi aramco to work at their Corporate Planning department. Salary Grade 15. The jobs offered were that of a "Planning Specialist" or "Snr Downstream Strategist". I would like your help in understanding more about these roles (as i have found the job descriptions quite generic)
Some questions:
1) How is it working for the Corporate Planning department of Aramco? Fast pace? Any major advantages and disadvantages from anyone who works there or knows of it?
2) Hows the team ethic / culture? Collaborative environment or more prone to conflicts?
3) How is the organisational structure? from my reading now, it seems to be a very flat structure with lots of people in the department but not many hierarchical levels? is that correct?
4) Work content? Does it provide enough challenge and learning of new things? or more preparing reports for the senior management?
5) Family Living. My advisor tells me that my family and I will be living in Ar-Rakah. Is it a good place for kids (i have a 2 and 0.5 year old). Keen to understand if the community there has other people with young kids or i will be isolated cause i wont be living in the bigger dharhan camp?
6) Community feeling / is living on campus a positive experience overall (been an expat before but never lived on campus or in KSA). Keen to assess if this campus lifestyle is a positive experience and is it welcoming to new joiners?
Appreciate any comments / views from anyone thanks again

1-4 - cannot help
5. There are alot of young children in Rakah.
6. People like Rakah, some wish they did not have the commute, but it is the way it is. Rakah itself is a nice compound with nice people. All the compounds are welcoming to new comers.
