do Aramco post internal vacancies for people working at their sites or are all jobs advertised on their main 'outside' site? hope this makes sense as i know that when i worked for chevron a lot of vacancies were advertised internally for staff and contractors and were filled without the need to advertise externally.

Like almost any company that I know of, internal transfers/hires are the norm here - with the added differentiation of expat vs Saudi. External expat hires are only opened when we have a need that we are pretty sure can only be filled with external expat experience, or where it is strategically important that we hire top-in-the-world-class talent.

Yes, they do - there is a section on the myhome Corporate Portal where you can search for internal vacancies.

Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe internal vacancies can only be viewed/applied for by current Aramco employees. Contractors would need to apply via the external link

Yes, that's pretty much what "internal vacancies" means - only available internally, within the company, to current employees.

Also, be aware that your current department must agree to release you to another department. So just because you would like to change jobs within the company does not mean you will be allowed to do so.
