Hi Everyone,
I have recently cleared almost all of my requirements to join Aramco and my journey is booked for mid January to KSA. I have a few concerns/questions which I need help with. Although some might have been addressed in different topics on this forum.
Firstly, I am looking for information on the Radium residence. Is there only one Radium compound where the Aramcons are assigned to?I have heard there are more than one Radium compounds in Dammam. If so what is it called? How far is the compound from the Dharan offices in terms of commute?
I need some information on activities such as football and squash. I have been playing squash for a few years, although have stopped due to ongoing refurbishment at my local gym. I Would like to pick up the sport once I arrive in Dharan. Considering the chances of my accommodation are in the Radium, is there anyone who can give me information on Squash and if there is anyone who plays squash? In addition are there any opportunities to play football - power league maybe?
I also need advice on transportation, I am still contemplating if I should sell my car here and bring the money there. I can also leave it with my brother here. What sort of figure are we looking at to buy a decent car for a family of 4? Preferably a 4x4.
Lastly and more importantly how do we arrange our ongoing payments to continue in the UK, such as direct debits which I will need to continue from my bank while I am there. Is there a process where the salary can be paid into a UK account or do we have to do some bank transfer?
I appreciate that most of these topics might have already generated some responses but any information would be appreciated.
