Someone else will hopefully answer on the gym in RT. I know it has free weights and machines just like DHA, ABQ and UDH.

The gym at RT is pretty good. I posted a while back asking the same thing and no one answered so I ended up shipping my gym equipment with me (power cage, bench). I wish I hadn't. I expected a typical apartment or hotel gym, but in actuality it's way better.

The RT gym has free weights, weight machines, and cardio equipment. As for free weights, there is a bench, incline, power rack, dumbbells from 2kg to 40kg, kettlebells, and plenty of plates. There are a few free benches and seated benches, preacher curl rack, cable machine, leg press, and maybe a few others that I can't think of right now. All in all its a good setup. I don't really go for the circuit weight machines but there are 6-7 of those. As for cardio, lots of treadmills, both upright and recumbent bikes and a couple of rowers. If you're into crossfit, the only thing you wont find is a rope climb or huge tire.

Like any other gym, don't plan on going right after work. Lots of people. I haven't been limited by weight, but I have been limited by wait.

We are Canadians as well. We will be assigned housing in Ras Tanura compound. As of the moment we do not know what type of housing they will give us... once we are assigned an RA (relocation advisor) then we will know exactly what type of housing they will provide for us.

This is off topic.. but is there any other Canadians who are currently in KSA? Could you please share your experiences so far on living situation and how it feels to be living abroad in KSA?
