o folks, First time poster from Canada.
I received an offer and paperwork from Aramco (yay) which I have submitted within 5 days—with the exception of the Visa documents which take a little more work.
I read from a recent disappointed poster (a fellow Canadian) that understands he was denied a visa as his employment included military experience. Aramco tried to appeal but no luck and he was declined.
I was in the Canadian Naval Reserves and am obviously deeply concerned by this.
Has anyone heard of this as a pattern?
Is there anyone at Aramco that has prior military experience?
Thanks

I know several US veterans at Aramco. I doubt that this alone would categorically hurt your visa chances.

I have never heard of anyone being denied a visa because of prior military service. I'm not sure that would even be mentioned on the visa application.

It was probably a different reason other than his past military service. There are lots of veterans working here. Depending on the position to be filled, former military experience would certainly be an asset on an application.

If you click on their name you can see they appeared to get one.
