Sub Contractor to SMP

Hi i'm working now as a sub contractor in aramco in jeddah and my company lost in the recent bidding so their will be new contractors my supervisor ask me to find a way to be on the next contractor because he know about my skills and want me to stay on his group but the problem is no one know who is the next contractor, One of my colleague advised me to apply as a SMP. My question is how to apply or to be transferred as SMP? my supervisor told me that he is willing to help if anything needed from his side like recommendation etc. Any information and help would be appreciated.
