o, I have an interview coming up with Power Systems/Engineering Department in London.
Any interview tips would be greatly appreciated. I am told it's technical interview but that's about it.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Raveel
I have interview for the same department in 2nd week of Dec.
Any help from other members on this forum would be highly appreciated.
I have been told that it would be technical as well as competency based interview. I have also been given the name of the interviewer.
Anybody from PSED, could you shed some light on the interview questions, etc.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
A K

Hi All
I was interviewed on Monday this week. Very relaxing enviornment.
Aramco HR showed us a power point presentation about the benfits.
The interview was all about my CV, talking through it. This went fine. The HR will let me know next week.
Hoping for a positive response.
Any questions just ask, I will do my best to summarise my expereince later when I get time as I am in Spain doing FAT Test :-) . Enjoy you interviews. Saudi Aramco are looking to fill the gaps in their power systems department.
************************************
Hi All
here is my Summary for the interview.
I was shown the benefits/introductory video on arrival. This lasted about 40 mins. This showed summary of benefits and other amenities if you were offered a job with Aramco.
My interview was with one of the team leaders of the technical department. He greeted me with a heavy handshake :-) . He introduced himself, this took 5 mins. He then advised me that the floors is mine and he wanted me to go through my CV. I have 8 years of experience of which 2 years on a graduate scheme. I went through my CV.
During this process, we discussed about HVDC Schemes (ABB, Siemens and Alstom Solutions), Distributed generation. He also advised me that Aramco is targeting 300+MWs for DG generation by year 2020. The interview was contacted in a very professional and friendly manner. The interviewer was charismatic. He asked me what can you bring to Saudi Aramco. We then talked about life in Kingdom and also I asked what does he enjoy the most in Aramco.
This was all. I hope to hear positive response from Aramco this coming week.
I am almost 50 50, as I think the interview was not technical and there were no wrong or right answers. Well thats life. Will see what happens.
If any questions, just ask. I will do my best to answer them. Thanks
A Khan

How would one know that BI check is going on without an offer? I guess for BI a coordinator is usually assigned and some paper work and information to be provided for BI to start.

As I understood from presentation, all checks were after offer acceptance.

After clearing my interview I was asked to fill a form with all details and provide copies of educational certificates, passport and other relevant documents such as payslips.
So far the update I have from HR is that they will be conducting a BI before an offer is handed out. I do not know if the same is being followed for candidates outside Saudi Arabia.
Regards, SMA

Hi All
Just a quick update: Recieved a call from Aramco HR, they interview feedback was positive (advising I made a first good impression) but they want me to have another VC with a technical manager from Saudia whom I will be reporting.
I have been told that this will be either this week or early Jan.
Very close yet far away. Enjoy.

Hi All Good News. Today, I have received my conditional offer from Aramco London for Engineer III role. I was asked to wait for the 2nd interview but received my offer today without the 2nd interview. Really happy. One question if senior expats can help. I will be coming with my family which includes my other half and my little girl. They have asked me to provide several documents. We have everything except for Birth certificates for myself and my wife. Both of us were born in Pakistan, do we require original birth certificates for visa purposes? Thanks

Congrats on the offer Adeel,
You should probably ask your recruiter exactly which documents they need and whether they need originals. I suspect certified true and exact copies might be accepted, but it might be different if you're from Pakistan, so check with your recruiter.

You don't need birth certificate for yourself and your wife. Only required for children for schooling purposes. If you need any help you can ask me because I have went through the whole process.

If the recruiter originally asked for a birth certificate, I'd say they probably have a good reason for asking for it. Again, check with your recruiter...
