hi there. I have been looking through the posts and cannot find the info I need on mandatory vaccines. My husband just received an offer from Saudi Aramco! I have a few questions! How long does the process usually take from the time the offer is made to the actual relocation? We are expecting our first child in April and I am hoping he doesn't have to relocate before that. Also, Does anyone know if vaccines are mandatory for newborns? We are choosing not to vaccinate and are wondering if this will affect her medical clearance for relocation. I realize they must be vaccinated to attend saudi aramco schools....we will cross that bridge when needed.
Thanks!

As far as I know, there are no mandatory vaccines for adults. (maybe there are if you work in the hospital or school, but not for other employees or spouses.)
For newborns, the routine here is that Hepais B and BCG are given shortly after birth. You can definitely request that your baby is not vaccinated, and the medical staff will respect your wishes to not vaccinate. However, please do tell them when you arrive at the hospital for delivery, and if you make a birth plan, then include that as well. Even in USA, you must inform the staff of your wishes not to vaccinate or they will do it automatically.

Thank you for the info. We are delivering in the United States and will be relocating to Ras Tanuras a few months later. I was concerned about the visa medical paperwork that we need to fill out regarding vaccines. Hopefully, they do not deny our newborn a visa due to being unvaccinated. If there are no mandatory vaccines in Saudi Arabia, then we should have no problem!
Regards!
