Hi Really depends on what process you have to follow. Usually the iqama comes through within 10 working days (although some take time) Applying for family resident visas is a patient process (i've been doing it these days It can take 3-4 weeks to finish the process at Aramco and apply for the visa. Hope this helps.

Your timeline on family visa will depend on several things. Your country, your job GC and which Aramco policy is active at the moment of your arrival. Your relocation contact should be able to get you the information on when you will be able to apply for your family's visas: after arrival or after probation.

Dear Vpainter,
I had mail conversation with RO and she said that,After your visa and arrival in saudi,You can process family visa.
I am understanding that After my IQAMA in saudi,i can start process of family visa. (I am GC-13,Family status,Indian)
Regards,

It took us 4 months to get family out, but we hit Ramadan, so everywhere was closed for a month, and the Hajj visa season. That slowed everything down twice. I know some who came out in under 3 months, and one wife who came out with her husband, tho we are not quite sure how that was managed!!!
Coming out of Australia seems to take longer than the UK, so it really does depend on where your coming from, and how available all your paperwork is.

Bhumi2482,
If your RO is saying after you arrive, then yes, it is after you receive your iqama and resident visa. Once those are in your hands, you start the process to bring your family over. Jast as another user said, it can take up to 3-6 months.

My understanding is that it is neither a Saudi law nor Saudi Embassy requirements to arrive before your family. It is just Aramco's policy as coming together with your family involves some administrative work that Aramco would prefer to avoid.
I know someone who relocated together with his family. He told the relocation advisor that he would not relocate unless he can do so with his family from the onset. Of course such an approach could lead to the offer being revoked (just my thinking - not that I have any evidence of this happening in the past) depending on who is involved in your recruitment and relocation process. So you should only adopt such an approach after considering all the possible consequences.

It is the policy of a few other countries that their citizens are unable to come with their families or so I have been told by 2 people.

It took us almost 6 months to get in KSA. My husband relocated in October and I am still here in the Netherlands. We are finally applying for the visa coming Friday. We had issues with some of my husband degrees and due to holidays the Yellow Slip (you need this document to request the resident visa in your home country), also took quite a while. Keep in mind that it could take a really long time before your wife can come out.

Can anyone give my any helpful hints for getting through the family visa process as quickly and smoothly as possible? My husband is flying to KSA on July 14 and we understand he will have to apply for and get his iquama before he can get visas for me and the kids. My question is, what can I do here on my end to help out? Paperwork to have at the ready? Shots/medical to have already taken care of? Basically I'm just looking for anything tangible that I can do to possibly make the process any smoother.
Thanks.
