o everyone, i have some questions before departing for KSA so i want your help please. 1. Regarding the registration of engineers in Saudi Council of Engineers body, what kind of documents are required and how long it takes. Does Aramco provides any assistance through this process. 2. How much is the monthly rental charge roughly for a 2BD family status apartment? 3. By taking the aramco temporary ID upon arrival, is it possible to buy a temporary pre-paid SIM or/and pre-paid Internet package from STC in DH compound? Does this happen after orientation in Dahran? 4. As the contract states, the employee should contribute about 8% of base salary for the DBS allowance.Does this deduction actually start to happen from the first paycheck? 5. Are women obliged to wear a headscarf all the time as soon as they leave compound or doesnt matter? In case of not wearing what are the consequences? 6. As soon as i get my aramco temp ID, can my wife utilize all the compound facilities or it has nothing to do with the ID? Can i also apply for the internet service through aramco`s intranet as soon as i have my temp ID? 7. What kind of electricity outlets exist on ABQ compound? Is it 110V? If yes, if i want to use some kitchen appliances of mine which operate at 220V,then what is the solution to do so? Could i use some power converterts so called? From where i can buy these stuff? A photo would be quite helpful for me thank you!

Your wife should wear abaya when leaving the compound. Headscarves are not required.
Abqaiq compound has 110V electricity, but there should be a 220V outlet in the kitchen at least. If there isn't, then you can call maintenance to install one. Also, if you need transformers, you can buy them in Saco, at Mall of Dhahran.
Sorry, I don't know the answer to your other questions.

1. Regarding the registration of engineers in Saudi Council of Engineers body, what kind of documents are required and how long it takes. Does Aramco provides any assistance through this process. You should get this questions answered in the orientation. They brushed on this, but I didn't pay attention since it didnt apply to me. 2. How much is the monthly rental charge roughly for a 2BD family status apartment? Dont know, someone else should be able to answer, my answer would be around $350 USD 3. By taking the aramco temporary ID upon arrival, is it possible to buy a temporary pre-paid SIM or/and pre-paid Internet package from STC in DH compound? Does this happen after orientation in Dahran? -Yes, they will tell you where to go in the orientation. There is STC which will take your yellow temp ID card along with a photocopy of your passport and give you a sim card (this is temporary activation and you need to revisit the STC to update the info once your iqama is done) 4. As the contract states, the employee should contribute about 8% of base salary for the DBS allowance.Does this deduction actually start to happen from the first paycheck? Yes 5. Are women obliged to wear a headscarf all the time as soon as they leave compound or doesnt matter? In case of not wearing what are the consequences? Answered on previous post 6. As soon as i get my aramco temp ID, can my wife utilize all the compound facilities or it has nothing to do with the ID? Can i also apply for the internet service through aramco`s intranet as soon as i have my temp ID? Yes, ID "should" be required but at times is a bit relaxed in the community center. But yes, in our community, they had stated, even our guests need ID's to use the community center. 7. What kind of electricity outlets exist on ABQ compound? Is it 110V? If yes, if i want to use some kitchen appliances of mine which operate at 220V,then what is the solution to do so? Could i use some power converterts so called? From where i can buy these stuff? A photo would be quite helpful for me Converters can be found, I dont know about the ABQ compound.
