o. thank you all for the invaluable information here. I recently had an interview and a verbal job offer right after the interview. I know I should wait until an offer package is emailed to me but I am just wondering if there is a case not to receive an offer package despite verbal job offer? Have you ever seen the case? I already got anxious about it

If you have received a verbal offer, you will at some point receive a written offer. The timeline for that can be short or long. If you are already anxious and worrying about it, you will have a long hard road ahead of you as you go through the hiring process. Relax, if at all possible. The process takes as long as it takes. You will do well to do a search on the forum for "timeline" and read the many timelines of past and present new hires for every stage of the hiring process.
Just keep living your daily life as usual and complete the process as each stage comes about. Worrying and being anxious does not help it go any faster and is detrimental to your well being.

Thank you for your response.
I think I responded to HR person somewhat negatively on the question, for instance, my wife's thought on living in Saudi and the location to be worked, and he was mentioning it might take a couple of months to get the offer package depending on the location.
I don't know why I reacted that way unlike my intention. Anyway, that made me think what if the verbal job offer is cancelled in the middle of processing offer package.
many thanks.

I guess it could happen, but usually not.
Do a search on the forum for Timeline and you will see current and past new hire timelines for each stage of the hiring process.
