We just received a call from relocate advisor (London). We have been assigned to the very new compound (Radium). We are a family of 3 (1 daughter).
They told to my husband that we have to be ready to "Maybe" be located in one bedroom flat because they don't know if the 2 bedrooms are available now. In any case we will be re-alocated to 2 bed flat when finally available (if this is the case).
We will be arriving in two days (the 23/10) Previously we were assigned to Adqaiq.

Is the new compound (Radium) fully furnished? It says on the website that it comes with @modern appliances@ but nothing else.!!!

It will more than likely have Aramco furniture in each home, since the website says they have basic furniture:
Housing Residential Communities Jump hideLearn about the residential communities in Saudi Arabia… Read more As a Saudi Aramco employee, you’ll be enled to your own spacious, modern, air conditioned accommodation in one of our residential communities. You’ll be charged a minimal monthly rent and have almost no bills to worry about. The amount charged will depend on the size of unit you’re living in, and will be deducted from your payroll to make payment as convenient as possible for you.
The type of accommodation assigned to you will vary according to how many eligible dependents you have. It will already be furnished with basic furniture and essential appliances (cooker, refrigerator, etc), which will be provided free of charge for the first four months. You’ll also be given a “starter set” of linen, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils, which will be yours to keep.
Routine maintenance, such as electrical, plumbing, structural, roofing, telephone and repairs to company-owned appliances will be provided free of charge. Utilities – water, electricity and local telephone calls – are also provided free of charge.

Thanks vpainter for the information, very helpful indeed as always!
Just a quick question, the Radium compound looks amazing and is near in vicinity to most amenies, but is this new compound mainly for US citizens/ Canadians due to the tax reasons which I have came across in the forum? Please correct me if I am wrong but I am not too sure if priority will be given to citizens from US and Canadians as it is tax-efficient for them to be staying in company-sponsored compounds and those who are not (e.g. ourselves) would be given the Dhahran Tower?
Thanks in advance!! tanz

I thought Radium was a leased compound, just like Dhahran Tower. In other words, not an Aramco property. In which case, it would be offered to only non-US passport holders, yes? Not sure if Canadians are treated the same as US in this regard.

Yes you are right bamaster, Radium is indeed a leased compound. I also just understood from my husband that DT is full, so seems like Radium is the next compound to go. I took a look at the links provided above, seem that the space is generally smaller than DT... not too sure if we could request for an apartment with a maid's room since we are getting one over there...

We are US Passport holders and were told we would not be placed in Radium because it will be for non-US passport holders only. Of course, things often change. We arrive in 6 days, but no house assigned quite yet.
