We have received our visas and have our airline itineraries....soon our adventure to KSA will begin. I have read many posts on the forum and have just a few more questions. 1. Has anyone arriving at the end of this month or in Nov received housing assignments to new leased compound? We do not have an assignment yet, but we were initially told it would be Rakah. Nothing is certain until we move in, though..right? 2. As far as labeling all the items in the shipment--did you all go as far as putting a label on every dish? Trinket? 3. Latest thoughts on stuffed animals--luggage, air, sea? I have two kiddos who would be heart broken to lose their animals. So thankful for this forum and the wonderful input!

1). Housing will be assigned the week of your arrival and at times 1 or 2 days before you step on the plane.
2). I recommend you label everything. Small things could be put in a ziploc bag and label the bag. If your shipment is searched, the contents are put out on tables and can get mixd up with other people's shipment that is also being searched. Labeling everything assures it gets back to you. Use return address labels or removable file folder labels on things that you do not want a permanent label on. Info on the label: name, badge number C/O Saudi Aramco Compound you are going to if you know or Dhahran KSA
Print this info on address labels or shipping address labels and stick them on every box.
3). Each of our kids brought their favorite stuffed animals with them in carryon or checked luggage.
Everyone has their own ideas on how much they label, this is my recommendation. There are no guarantees that your shipment would not be searched.

We are moving to KSA in November. What's the concern about stuffed animals? I have all my kids toys/stuffed animals in our shipment and am now concerned :?
