Hi all,
My husband submitted a salary review request about a week ago and per the RA, the review is currently with the department for review.
Is anyone in the same situation and can share their experiences on the timeline and chances of success?
Thanks! tanz

Similar, I think it was about 2 weeks for me. They came back with an acceptable offer.

it took less than a week, was successful, but they only closed half the gap between my original offer and my current base. however all in all good offer, so I accepted.
I am pretty sure one will not get a third offer :?

Hi all,
Just a quick update, we heard back on the salary review at about the 3 weeks' mark. It was the Eid holidays after all and got delayed, there was an increase and we are happy with the revised offer and have accepted it!
All the best to those in similar situations!

Congrats, Tanz! I read an article that talked about the salary difference between men and women in the U.S., which was something like 7%. It claimed that one of the biggest reason for that was because men counter-offer far more often than women. The lesson is... if you don't ask for a higher starting salary, the answer is definitely no.

I countered for them to match my base on Oct 4th and are still waiting for a response. HR said the response will be back this week but it did not.
Anxiously waiting for what they come back with.

Tanz,
Just wondering if you asked for a fixed % increase or just a review of salary.
Regards

Hi US_Finance, Actually it is my husband He proposed a specific amount increase to the base salary, to match his current salary. He furnished documents such as payslips, income tax returns etc, whichever will help to support your case. I think it is important to be able to substantiate your proposition to give a stronger case. They came back with a smaller increase but it is still an increase after all. Hope this helps. tanz

Update: Got response back after 1 month and they came back nothing. It's quite usual this year as recruiter told me that 4 of their clients got offered less than base.
I provided payslips everything to support. Guess Saudi has a different strategy or maybe I am overpaid? lol.
