o everyone, I've been told a family status employee is eligible for 38 calendar days. Is the employee allowed to get 38 days at once after completion of probation period? Do I need to wait until I complete one full year or can I get 3 calendar days per working month until the completion of the 1st year? How does this work actually? Thank you

You are granted your full enlement for the year on 1 Jan. Prior to that you will be granted pro-rata'd on your start date and these can be used in your year of arrival. You usually have to have completed one year service before taking your repat, but you can take short leave at any time (subject to manager approval).

teebee, my intention is to land in ksa at the end of Nov 2014 so normally my probation will end at the end of Feb 2015. So based on what you told me, after 1st of Jan 2015 i will be allowed to use the whole 38days in total and request in general any number of days off, right?

You will be allocated a number of days the November and December, these will roll to next year if not used. Starting Jan 1 2015, you can use the 38 calendar days, but you will need to allocate some for you're repat, if you do not have 14 days for your repat, then you'll run into some problems getting your repat bonus. Just came back from orientation yesterday.

fsaeed81,
In case some days have not been taken, can these days be added to the next year and normally taken by me? (eg 38days of 2016 + remaining 10days of 2015)

dimk,
Yes, employees can roll over as many as 15 days into the following year. Your supervisor may sometimes encoue/require you to use most or all of your current year's vacation before the end of the year though.
Since everyone in the organization has so many days off per year, it can be a real pain to deal with the absence of critical people. If someone is trying to use 38 + 15 + repat travel days in a single year, you can imagine how hard it can be to run projects.

fsaeed81,
thank you my friend.but when you say "you can use the 38 calendar days" do you actually mean all 38 days in total or days earned per working month?
