We are moving to Abqaiq on 13th October (hubby's birthday!)
I am getting mega excited, but also I cannot believe this is happening! It is incredible I am about to move countries!!!
I have some questions regarding life on the Compund as a stay at home mum with a 16 month old.
I'm not too worried about Compund life as I am used to living on a base. It's the staying at home part! I have always worked andI love my daughter dearly, but she has settled so well at her UK Nursery and she is the type of child who gets too clingy if she is around me too mmuch - seperation actually does her good!
So my questions are:
1) Does anyone know what brands of formula are available on the Compund itself? We currently use Aptimel, but I have a couple of weeks to wean her onto another before arrival if that one isn't about. (She can get quite sicky with changes, so if I do it gradual with her Uk formula here, it's easier).
2) Having read up, I know there's no formal Nursery on the Compound. Does anyone use one off site or are there any creche's etc that anyone knows of? As I say, she is better with some seperation from me and it would be nice to know if I had even one afternoon a week to myself for example.
3) Does anyone know of any good baby groups/mother and toddler/classes we could attend - either together or somewhere I could leave her and pick her up again.
4) Does anyone use a babysitter or similar they could recommend or what alteratives are there?
5) Does the library have a child section? She is really into books and we are used to visiting the library here.
