Hi,
I am a Canadian working in Houston right now. I interviewed last week and was confirmed of an offer on its way. I have a wife on Chinese passport and a 15 month born here in the states. I wonder how the visa process will differ among all of us. Should I go first and my wife and son join later (within 90 days) if the visa situation takes longer for my family?
Thanks for the advice.

Hi LoneStarTexas, My husband is a US Citizen while I hold a Taiwanese passport. We also have a 20 month old son who was born in Houston. The re. advisor suggested us to apply together and we did not run into any issues (interviewed end of June and received visa le last week). I believe your wife and kid has to join you within 70 days after you landed in order for you to keep family status...it might actually be less complicated if you go together (in my humble opinion).

dunkinmocha,
Thanks for your response. That helped clearing my concerns about visa applications. I've got the offer but requested for a salary review as they reduced my current base quite substantially. Wish you and your family safe travel and enjoy life there! If I end up going let's connect!
