Has anybody traveled with dish barrel boxes from the U.S on Qatar Airways? Are they allowed as past of your luggage allowance?

Sorry, I haven't flown on Qatar Airlines. I have flown with them on BA, AA, KLM, Lufthansia, Emirates and Gulf Air. Sometimes I cut them down when I have reached 50lbs prior to filling them, other times I leave them full size and have never had a problem with them being my checked luggage.
