I am in receipt of an offer. That was super quick, in that it was under two weeks ago I interviewed. They must be in a hurry. They asked for me to print sign and email back if I want to speed up the process, before the FedEx arrives. Salary Code is 15, is that enough to provide a decent level of benefits ?
My offer is decent overall. But the base is only 88% of my current base. My recruiter kind of eluded to offers usually being a match plus over base, or a small boost on current base. I did submit my paystub already so it can't be a mistake.
Global payroll as I am on a European passport. I am looking at Bachelor Status, leaving m,y wife and kids in the USA. I am a green card holder but NOT a US citizen. My worry is that I somehow get to pay taxes to the US, which would completely make my offer not only unattractive, but downright unacceptable.
Any experience with this ? I suppose I can turn in my green card, and re-apply when I eventually want to return state side. I am never moving back to my native Scandinavian country. Should be a slam dunk as I have two children that are US citizens, and a wife that is as well.
Question on Bachelor housing. Offer says that is roughly 150 a month for a 1 bedroom. I am hoping to get that based on S15. is there a place to eat in bachelor housing (cafeteria ?), or does every bachelor cook for them selves. If there is food, what is the cost for that ?
input appreciated. I have 14 days to decide.

GC 15 is good. I came to Aramco with 30+ years experience, BS ChE and two graduate degrees, several patents to my name and came as a GC 15. Should have been higher, but I was eager to come so I could get in at least five years before retirement. GC is comfortable here - higher gets you more "default respect" at work, but most of the benefits stay the same even at higher GC.
Hard to say about the base offer - without specifics, it's hard to compare. There are a lot of modifiers, and of course we don't know the specifics of your current compensation. You can try to negotiate for higher base - it's not always successful, but it does sound like they are eager to hire you.
The Green Card could be an issue. I'm as US citizen, so don't have personal experience. But I do have friends here with US residency. They all pay taxes to the US, which I understand they must to keep their status. Even then, I think there are rules about how long you can be out of the US over a given period. At least one friend is in a similar situation to yours - he sent his family back from KSA to the States so they could apply for citizenship. Once they got citizenship, they re-joined him here. I don't know if he will let his residence permit lapse and reapply, but I think he was anticipating that his status would be withdrawn because he is out of the US for too long for a resident. He still pays US taxes, but I don't know what he will do if/when he loses status.
Bachelor housing for GC 15 is good on camp, but it's hard to say where you will go. Chances are better to end of on DH camp if you come on US payroll, due to the tax implications. I'm not sure where they are putting Global payroll GC 15 bachelors.

Thanks, I have sent a request for them to take another look at the pay and also the "payroll" my travel compensation is low due to them using my home country rather than the US, and tickets to Scandinavia are under half that of those to the USA. Since my kids are US, and my wife, i am not worried about my status, as I can always regain that. I have heard though that if the INS takes your green card for being out of the country too much, then its hard to get back. Maybe better to just surrender it. I do have a hard time imagining the US taking a green card from a foreigner that willingly is paying TAXES to the USA.
it does appear they are on the ball as my timeline is far from the usual.
I guess I will wait and see what they respond with.
