Hi,
our Iqamas have been issued which are valid for 14 months (I thought it was only for 1 year) and this may pose a problem with the family taking leave during the summer vacation.
Has anyone had experience in renewing their Iqama around 4 or 5 months before expiry? Realise that the expiry dates remain the same regardless of renewal date.
Many thanks.

yes, you should be able to renew your iqama because if your iqama is too close to expiring, they won't issue your exit/re-entry visa.

No, just being in possession of an iqama does not give you the right to enter (or leave) Saudi Arabia. You need a valid exit/re-entry visa.
