Hi,
I've just been made a job offer. I'm currently a Director in Mergers Acquisitions at a large bank in London. le of the role though is Business yst 1. SC 14. I have 10+ years experience. Money is OK but not outstanding. Slightly better than current net salary but obviously big savings would come from housing. Trying to understand if I'm too senior for the role as usually what we call ysts in banking are straight out of college. Department is Business Development. Many thoughts how this works and what the scale is or should I just ask?
Also any tips on information about off campus housing? I haven't been confirmed what housing I'll get but from what I've read as I have a wife and son it may be a 2 bedroom which is unacceptable to me as I currently live in a 3 bed and would not go smaller.
Many thanks.

If you are coming for the house, You won't come. Aramco housing for couples with 0 to 1 child is a 2 BR apartment/townhouse/house.
If you are coming for other benefits, it is probably worth you coming.
Job les with Aramco are not equivalent to your job les at the bank. - Ask

Hi,
I am working for the same position "Business yst" for about 9 years now and yet ARAMCO only offered me with the Business yst IV position which I believed for fresh graduates or with less experience than I have.
Though I offered with GC11 however the salary is not much considering my experiences. They offered me bet. 9-9.8k SAR(tax free) and I'm currently 8-8.9K SAR(taxable) here in Philippines.
Now, I am hesitant to accept the offer because I assumed they only offer the entry level salary and not credited my experiences. Is this something valid to request to review the salary offer? Thanks!

Salaries are private. Only you can determine if the salary offered is good for you and your family. If it is not, you can attempt to negotiate for a higher salary.
Since most Expats that Aramco hires have to come with experience and previously it was 10 years experience for most everyone. Only in the recent past has Aramco lowered that required experience. There are no fresh expat graduates in Aramco. Only Saudis get to come to work fresh out of university.

Hi vpainter, does it mean previously most of the expats are position "III" or higher? because as per my understanding, position with "IV" are those with 5 years or less experience... please enlighten me....
thanks!

No it depended on which position was open and people were hired according to the positionopen. Every position has a le and GC assigned to it.
