o all, I really think this is a great website. I have the following questions, which are specifically related to those on US Payroll. Much of this information is out on the forum, but it is not related to US Payroll. Thanks!
1. Is annual benefit supplement of 18%-20% available to those on US payroll? I have read some that this is only available on global payroll.
2. If so, do you still receive health care insurance? And if OOK healthcare is requested, then you can pay the extra $100-200 per month to receive this? I understand if this annual benefit supplement is taken, the 401k match and vested 5 year pension will not be provided.
3. Deferred Benefit Supplement – What is this exactly? Is there 8% taken out of your paycheck? What does this go to?
4. United States Hypo Tax – I noticed that some people have said that Aramco no longer takes this out of each paycheck, but rather this is the responsibility of the employee to pay at the end of the year. Can anyone confirm?
5. Expat Premium – It appears for Canada, the overbase is typically 40%. Does anyone have this type of number for US Payroll employees?

All the items except for the Hypo Tax is related to the Global Payroll and does not apply for the US payroll.

Hypo tax is certainly deducted from US payroll paychecks.
And to further confuse you, Federal Income Tax is also deducted.

I have to pick this up again....
How about the health insurance on US payroll? I heard that the people at Aramco are good taking care off but what about the dependents left back in the US? I heard we will be insured through Aetna Global and that it would be a great plan but that they work with prefered providers. Is there anyboy with experience out there? Do i have to switch all off my and the kids docs to the prefered providers to get full repay? Do I have to pay everything in advance and than submit a claim to get it back? I am thinking about the recent ankel surgery my son had. I just paid the copay of $250 with our current medical insurance but the bill was $18.000. With having to pay it in advance it would not have been possible. Can I submit a claim and pay when I recieve the money? I hope there are people in this forum who can help me. Some stuff is pretty confusing or unclear and even the explanations from the service office are not clear.
Thank you Uli
