The email is telling you there are two large posts in the first discussion group: Frequently Asked Questions, which says Read Here First before posting.
Take out of them what applies to you and your family and ignore the rest.

I am planning on leaving the US to Dhahran on Dec 30th. My family will be moving on May/June.
Also I read mixed messages on electronics/ routers / small appliances. Can they be brought with your luggage or this is better to ship with all your other stuff?

This forum has been a great resource for us over the past 1 year .
Finally we are moving to the Dhahran camp in November 2019! Hurray !!
. Would you be able to guide me about shipping furniture from city of The Hague in The Netherlands to Dammam.
Any idea of costs ? We have a kind size bed, bed-side drawersx2. A big dressing table with a big framed mirror.

Hi everyone!
My family and I are gearing up for our move to Dhahran this summer and we are getting quotes from shipping companies.
One of the recommended shipping companies in this forum was Four Winds. I have received a quote from them and I was about to move forward however, they requested the entire invoice amount before they would even schedule the pick up day. Is this normal? On the Four Winds website itself it says that any shipping company that requests payment before any work is done should be considered a scam. It also goes on to say that all reputable shipping companies quote based on estimated weight not volume but my quote was based on volume.
Could someone who used Four Winds before give me some insight into how it went for them and if my experience is normal?

We used Four Winds KSA-UK in 2019.
I've just been back through the email trail. 3000SAR to confirm the collection date.
Balance on packing.
The service was fine. Pickford's UK-KSA going the other way was much more professional!
