There is a now an indoor space where play group is being held a few mornings per week. Details on Residents Cooperative bulletin board and Facebook page. This will really help families with young children get to know each other and for the children to interact in a comfortable group space.

This forum and its users are huge help in making informed decisions. Could i please request people based in DT to answer the following three questions:
1. How long the bus journey is taking between DT and Dahran compound during the day?
2. are ladies required to wear an abaya if they are travelling between DT and Daharan compuound through Aramco buses?
Many thanks and kind regards,

space99,
1. Depends on traffic. I would suggest that you budget about 30 minutes one way. Could be more or could be less. 2. What my wife has found (as have many others) it's just easier to wear the abaya from DT to DHA depending on where in DHA you're going. We have found that there are certain parts of DHA where your wife will feel much more comfortable in her abaya (clinic, ID office, etc). It's very easy to forget that we are visitors in this country.

Abayas are not required on Aramco buses going from one Aramco community to another. Conservative dress is needed in the Medical/dental clinics and Al Mujamma building or visiting business areas. If not visiting those areas, then you can come dressed as you like within reason: no short shorts or midriffs showing, no low cut blouses. Sleeveless blouses are ok, longer shorts are ok to wear in DHA.

The Aramco fb pages are private. You will need to know for sure you are being assigned to the DT in order to join it. Each Aramco compound has its own private fb page.
When you receive your housing assignment, you may request to be added at that time.
