I was hired as single status for Lab scientist position (GC 13) in Dhahran but I am getting married next month. Visa block still pending  So, I was wondering what is going on with housing? First of all, where should I expect to be assigned a housing for a single GC13? Is the single one big enough for me and my wife?

If you get married prior to coming, then contact your recruiter for changing to family status.

Thanks for the prompt reply. However, what is happening with housing when getting married is not achievable for the moment?

Single bachelors could be in DHA, ABQ, Rakah or possibly the Dhahran Tower. Housing assignment will be made the week of your arrival depending on availability. No one can tell you where you will be housed. There are a few bachelors who have converted to family status and stayed in their bachelor houses. Depends on what is available at the time of your wife's arrival.
With today's Aramco housing assignments cannot be predicted, and must wait on your arrival date being fixed and what is available at that time.
I know you would like exact information. There is none to be given.

Could someone send me some photos of a single/bachelor apartment in Dhahran? Many thanks in advance, CK

How does switching from single status to bachelor status during the middle of the year work? I understand single status is for non married people and bachelor is for married people IK without their spouse/families. Once I present a valid marriage certificate, will I then begin to “accrue” at the 50 days rate rather than the 36 day rate?
