I had VCI vide skype on 4th August with Aramco , due to poor voice communication, interview ended in 30 minutes, they keep trying to rush with their questions, there were two Arab Folks and were trying to get quick information due to internet issue, they also tried to call me on phone but they could not connected , issue was at their side, please can you share is it normal or I need to have another interview with them later? and if there is no 2nd interview when I will hear from them for outcome of it? I have already requested recruiting office to ask for 2nd interview , she told me she will check with Aramco but normally they dont go for 2nd interview unless very important to have it. She also had no idea how many candidates interviewed, can anybody tell me how they can judge candidate in 30 minutes with poor voice quality, and not giving equal chance as given to other candidates? Please I am bit worried and frustrated , can anybody guide me how it works in such a situation.
Regards

Some interviews have been 20 minutes in length. You could get an offer.

I would second what VPainter just said. My interview while it was live in person, was much shorter than all other interviews prior to myself, and i received an offer. Saudi Aramco interviewing is ... unique to what we're used to in the west. I believe you have done all you can.
All the best.

vpainter,
my case is some what similar, has my VCI and it was short -15 minutes. I was told by the recruiter that I have been confirmed to fly in to Houston. A week later I was again told that their is change of things ...that they are still evaluating ,that I wont be going to Houston by mid September as earlier confirmed. The recruiter told me that I will be informed if anything changes.
Can you please tell me why all the inconsistency with the entire process.
Thanks Calgaryman.

My guess: The people who interviewed you may have told the recruiter they would want to see you. Then when the spoke with the supervisor or the manager of the department interviewing you, it may have been put on hold for whatever reason. You could still receive an offer from a 15 min. VCI.

My face to face was 6-7 minutes. in Houston, I was told to expect at least 45 minutes.
That was a Wednesday. Friday, same week, I was asked for copies of transcripts. I provided those the following Wednesday, told Thursday an offer is being prepared. I guess length of interview means very little.

are you serious, 6-7 minute face-to-face interview, are they “hiring” people or just “picking up” people.
I am not impressed with the quality of the new hires nowadays. they bring us “dead weight” highly paid expats and we have to train them and clean up the mess after them. I am not certain where this company is headed.
US companies are cleaning house getting rid of non performers and many of them end up here.
