Hi,
We have assigned to Dhahran Tower and we are planning to have most of our activities done in the Aramco compound. We have a 3 yrs old and a 2 yrs old, our understanding Is that there is not a K3 class in the Aramco school, I would like to know the options for K3 and nursery/day care for kids in this community.

My husband will also be working in Dhahran. Not sure where we will be staying yet, but were told either the tower or rakah. We should arrive mid-oct with a 2 yr old son (visa le already assigned). If your wife wants to pm me, we could maybe touch base once in the kingdom!  |

If assigned to Rakah, they have a preschool 3 and 4.
The DT would go to DHA and they only have preK 4 until hopefully next year - 2015-2016.

The private preschools are found by word of mouth, so ask people with kids your child's age. Also the CIC office may have a list of the preschools if the preschool has given them their contact information.

Okay I need clearify something, the Aramco school in Dhahran has a K4 class as well? I have 8 year old, 5 year and 4 year old. If we get Rakah assigned, where do the kids attend school then?

Yes, DHA has a preschool 4.
If you live in Rakah, Rakah has a preschool4 and your older children would go to school in DHA.

Hi Vpainter,
My older daughter just turned 4 this September. Our Relo emailed us her school decision saying that she will be able to attend K4 only in Sept 2015-2016.
Since DHA doesn't have a PreK 3 do u think we will have to find our own preschool for her once we are there or do u think she will be able to go to PreK 3 in Rakah?
I would also appreciate if can know the school timings for PreK 4 and Kindergarden?

K3 is a paid program (last year we paid 825 riyal per month), and space is limited, so I don't think you would be able to take your child from DHA compound to Rakah for K3. However, you will probably be able to find a preschool in DHA or at least you will be able to go to story time in the library and play groups.
In UDH, the time for K4 is 7:45 am to 10:30 am for the morning session. I think afternoon is 12:45 pm to 3:30 pm. K arrival time is between 7:30 and 7:40 am, last bell rings at 7:45 am. Lunch is 11:40-11:45 am to 12:30-12:40 pm. Pick up is at 2:35-2:40 pm.

I think it is most likely that we will end up in Radium. Since my daughter has been going to Preschool ever since she was 2 yrs here in UK i bet it wud be boring for her to stay at home for the next 9 months. I did have a look at Radium in google maps and BISAK seems to be quite close by. Do u kno of any preschoolers going there?
Do u kno if it is safe for me to drop and pick her from school if it is close by?
Does Aramco give EAP once a child turns 4 and is not attending K4 in DHA?

There are private preschools in DHA. Ask around once you get here, they are found by word of mouth.

Yes, there is preK 4 in DHA. Contact the DHA school administration.

Hi, we have a 3 year old son and are due to arrive this summer. Is K3 program now available in the Saudi Aramco school in DHA? I have seen posts saying that the school is expanding to cater for pre K 3. Thanks. Lola

As vpainter said above, there is a possibility that K-3 will be offered in Dhahran in 2015/2016 school year, but that is not definite due to space limitations in the Dhahran schools.
