Hi,
Before I joined Aramco about 20 months ago, I worked and lived in Bahrain. Recently, I visited my bank in Bahrain and was told to remove my wife’s name (she is American) from our joint account, otherwise she would pay taxes on my earnings (I’m Canadian). This got me thinking in finding a tax efficient structure to bequeath my wealth to my wife and child (also American). I was told by a friend that I would have to write up the Will where I have residency (excluding KSA) or where most of my assets lie. The issue is, I declared myself a non resident Canadian (Aramco contingency in accepting the offer + I don’t pay taxes) and I have assets around the world. Is anyone out there in a similar situation? Or can someone recommend a professional advisor for me in Kingdom or at Aramco?
Thanks
Leaf

You really should not be asking for this type of advice on the forum. Please do contact a professional lawyer and accountant to find out the information you are seeking.
If anyone has a recommendation for this user, please use PM or email. Names and contact information are not allowed to be posted in the forum without that person's permission.

vpainter, I think my query is relevant because most if not all Canadians are requested to declare non residency as one of the contingencies of accepting the Aramco offer – there may be others who had not thought of or executed an estate plan before joining Aramco. This would be something new hires should think of before joining. Moreover, my post ends with asking if anyone is aware of a professional advisor (lawyer and/or accountant) – I have seen many other posts where responders have suggested firms for retirement planning, cars, etc – how is this different?

You can list a business name, you cannot list a person's name or contact information in the public forum without their permission.
You may receive names by PM or email only.
