Hi All
I have a Canadian drivers license and interested to find out process on getting a license that allows to drive in Saudi? Also, does Aramco provide any support?
Is it simple for expats to buy a new or used car? Are there any Aramco specific portals to help with a safe/secure car buying exp?

Hi,
First you need to get your Iqama and then you can apply to Saudi drivers license until you get it you are not allowed to drive.
The process is not complicated, search the forum for answers or you can get them on your pre-departure orientation. But be ready to be around one month in the kingdom without being allowed to drive.

I don't have my iqama yet, but I have a rental car using my Canadian driver licence. Just after 1 week here, many other even earlier than that.
I can't buy a car yet though. At least until iqama comes through.
Cheers

And does your driving licence convert to a Saudi licence, or you need to give a driving test, etc?
I've got a UK driving licence.
Thanks !

It can be converted.. Also I used to drive for 2 years without a license.. Didn't cause any trouble as long as you wear your belt and don't drive out of limit.. ofc if your current license is not Saudi.. you can use it as prove that you have the ability to drive but it doesn't work every time.. you will need to convert it later.
There are check points on main roads where they expect to you have a license.. but again your foreign license works 50%.
Best of luck
