Hi,
I'm going to interview shortly for a secretary position and should I be offered a position it would be on an unaccompanied status. Should I be successful at interview I would want to bring my cat with me - does anyone know if this is allowed? I've seen that you can import pets but it's not clear if this is just for those with a different housing status.
Thanks.

You can bring your cat at your expense.

Hi there,
I'm a secretary and 2 of the other secretaries both have cats. One of them recently had a cat flap installed so it is cat friendly.....
Good luck in the interview!

Hi Kkate
It will depend on where you are located. If you are sent to Dhahran, you will be housed in an apartment building (called the Ballpark). Officially, pets are not permitted in these buildings, so you may not get permission to bring your cat. Having said that, there are many Ballpark occupants that keep cats, but they are ones acquired here.

Cats are brought in at owner expense, so she could bring her cat. The company has nothing to do with pets coming in, other than a requirement to join the Kennel Club if you own a pet here.

Pets in accommodation are allowed if you have a ground floor apartment .. If not then permission may be denied. If you want to bring your cat you need to discuss this with your Aramco contact

Quote taken from Housing FAQ.
"Residents are not allowed to have pets in multiple-occupancy buildings."

Hi all,
Sorry to bother you all on the whole cat issue in secretary accommodation, but I have been offered a contract subject to reference etc and I have been advised that I can not bring my 15yr cat.
Would it be possible that once I am out in Kingdom that I could then bring my cat over from the UK?
Do you think this is possible as I am really upset that this is the case.
Thank you in advance if you can advise
Regards

Clarification: you are being offered a contract. Will you be a direct hire with Aramco? Or a contract employee with another company working at Aramco?
