Dear all Can anyone tell me what is the grading structure / hierarchy structure at aramco? What level is an yst etc and different types? And how long does it normally take to be promoted ? Can you negotiate on the grade pre offer acceptance and what are any pitfalls? Thanks in advance

Have you done a search on the forum regarding Grade Codes (GC) and read the many posts already discussing it?
Every position le in Aramco has been assigned a GC.
GC promotions are not guaranteed. They can and do happen, but not for everyone. There are yearly increases that do not include a le change which equates to an increase in GC.
There are a few people who have successfully negotiated for a higher GC, which changed the le they were applying for. Many times they just say no to your negotiation.

A le "can" sometimes indicate grade codes. For example, "specialist" are usually associated with GC15 BUT I have seen several le with the term "specialist" that does not correspond to Grade Code 15 (I know one guy with a le Planning Specialist I, the I at the end definitely indicate a GC14 .... I wonder what his le would be when he does get promoted to GC15, a Planning Specialist Specialist?). Anyway, I digress.
Anything with a roman numeral at the end of the le is a confirmed grading indicator (IV, means GC11, III means GC12, II means GC13, I means GC14)
