Hi All
My husband has an interview with Aramco in August. We are both process engineers and I would like to find out about my options should he be successful.
I have read on the forums that a wife can only apply for employment with Aramco once you are in KSA, but this is quite a lengthy process and the chances of obtaining employment are low.
Should I not be successful in obtaining employment, what options would I have to further my studies. I would either like to complete an honours degree in engineering or an MBA. Are there universities close to Aramco residential areas that allow women to study and do they offer these programs?
I appreciate your response

I investigated study options myself for a PhD at some of the local universities a few months back. The problem was not that I am female, rather I found of the universities I checked, which were mostly proximity based, being a Saudi National was one of the prerequisites. I have to say that I didn't research this extensively so if you go digging you might find a slightly different result at other universities. There is also a massive difference between public and private universities, which I have learned latterly.
I have been advised by a few different sources to approach the universities to teach on the back of my MSc. I haven't tried this and I don't know if this is an option for you.
With respect to MBAs, there are business schools in Bahrain but there are also many attractive distance learning options from top business schools - there are league tables about (Warwick do one of the best if I recall).
