A photocopy of my UK academic degree has been attested by the Saudi Cultural Bureau in London and Saudi Embassy but the visa agent is keeping original degree as they think it may require Translation into Arabic and legalisation for visa purpose. I'll be applying for faimly visa and planning to move my faimly at the same time as myself.
I have two questions:
1. Is attestation on a photocopy good enough for faimly Iqama purpose or does the original degree needs to be stamped on the backside by the Saudi Embassy and Cultural bureau?
2. Do i need to have more than one copy attested of the degree for any processing that need to take place when I move to KSA? I am not sure if this degree attestion will be kept by the Saudi Embassy in London when processing my visa or kept by department in Saudi when processing faimly status iqama.
Appreciate guidance from people who are goig through /have gone through the process.

Could please at least some one provide guidance on what is the use of attested copies of my academic degree and marriage certificate and who do i need to handover these to and when? if i am coming along with my family. My relocation advisor sent these back to me after attestation.
Many thanks and kind regards

space99,
1. Is attestation on a photocopy good enough for faimly Iqama purpose or does the original degree needs to be stamped on the backside by the Saudi Embassy and Cultural bureau?
You need to confirm this but this is how it usually works: you need to have a certified copy and translation (English ir Arabic) of your degree. By certified please check the local KSA embassy requirements (they might ask you for the ministry of foreing affairs of the country of your diploma to certify the validity of your diploma). After that you take the original, the certified copies and the translation to the KSA embassy for attestation.( they stamp it and sign it)
2. Do i need to have more than one copy attested of the degree for any processing that need to take place when I move to KSA? I am not sure if this degree attestion will be kept by the Saudi Embassy in London when processing my visa or kept by department in Saudi when processing faimly status iqama.
They give you back the attested copy of your degree and you keep it and take it to KSA for Iqama processing. They don't keep your copy.
