Hi to all current and future Aramcons!
Great forum and I hope that I can gain some insight and feedback to my queries... After going through the interview process for a Senior PA role, I've received an offer for a Secretary position. I've 20 years experience (I started young LOL) and have concerns about what the role offered would entail as well as the impact on my CV if/when I return to UK. The grading is also a bit of a worry - the offer is GC8 and I understand that this can have an impact on the amenities I could access as well as the single female housing offered, not to mention possible progression opportunities.
I have written back to the AOC recruiter for further info but haven't had feedback as yet. Is there anyone on the forum that can shed light on what a Secretary role will be like, if its Dhahran based, the grading issue and the likelihood of progression - both role and GC? Are there any others who've applied for one position, only to be offered another? How did it work out?
I've been really excited at the prospect of joining Aramco and discovering a new way of life & immersing myself in the challenges of settling in a new country but I do now have these concerns, so any info would be really useful before I have to give a decision.
