We are moving to Dhahran soon and we planned to ship our furniture and household in a container. However, we were told that custom charges might be heavy. Is this the case? Do you pay charges if you ship furniture? Does it depend on the size of the shipment?

We chose a single container since we heard is easier than a shared container but our stuffs fill only half of a 20' container. If the charges depend on the volume of the shipment maybe we should use a shared container. Any thoughts on this?

I would really appreciate if someone can help us with these.
