Health problems while waiting for visa

I remember that if you have cleared all the contingencies and able to obtain a visa you should be good to go. In my opinion, if you develop a health problem prior to your departure, informing the hiring department would be necessary as they are obviously awaiting your commencement of employment. Explain the circumstances for the delay and if they really want you, it should not be a problem. Good luck!
