My recuiter just informed me that upon arrival we will be living in Abqaiq and working in Udhailiya, she further mentioned that it's a temporary housing, My question is, what is the size of houses in Abqaiq and are they Furnished? I hired as an Engineer II from US. How is the commute between Udhailiya and Abqaia? Are there company buses transporting people to work? ... Are schools in Abqaiq till 12 grade? ... Please help me. I am preparing myself for the orientation and above clarifications will help me preparing for that. Thanks you

Housing in ABQ, just like DHA, RT and UDH, is based on GC and number of children. If you email me that information I will send you an example floor plan.
All the houses are furnished when you arrive. This furniture is free until you receive your shipment, usually 3 months. Then there is a rental fee for any furniture you continue to use.
The commute between ABq and UDH is 45 mins to an hour. Yes, there are Aramco buses for going to work and returning home and off and on throughout the day.
No Aramco school goes to grade 12. aramco schools are PreK 3 - 9th grade. For 10th - 12th grades your kids must go to one of the International Schools in KSA or to a boarding school in any country of your choosing. Aramco has an EAP program for assisting with this cost.

Thanks you vpainter for your reply ... In my offecr GC was not define all I know it is Engineer II - I have 2 kids and the housing that they have offered me is 3 bedroom, I think I can ask my recruiter for the GC level. In your experience typically what are the GC levels for Engineer II ? please send me privite e-mail for the floor plan if you want to. Also about the school from 10 - 12 grade someone mentioned it to me that the US consulate have that facility. I am on US payroll. I don't know the actuals but would like to ask here on the forum if some else have any experience who can advise please. Thank you so much ... my ETA is set for August 29th 2014. Hopefully everything will be done by than.

Hi Vpainter,
You sure that the commute between ABQ and UDH is 45-1 hr.? Im in a similar situation will be living in ABQ and work location is UDH. I have couple of friends living in ABQ and they know few ppl doing the commuter daily and they have told me its between 1.15-1.30 hr. depending if you are going via Aramco bus or by your car. May be their departments are further down, I will be working in IT.
thx, Ali

Just took a quick look on Google maps, it gives the distance as 115 km and the driving time "in current traffic" as 1 hr 18 mins.

I think that the google maps estimation is correct when you factor in the time you will spend driving through Abqaiq to get to the highway and then the time driving in UDH to get to your work location. Maybe you have to leave 1.5 hours before work starts to be on time.
